Alongside our reusable products, Haftey offers a set of services built around one goal: making menstrual health an ordinary, well understood part of daily life for girls and women in Tigray. Every service is co-designed with local teachers, nurses and community leaders, so the content lands in the language, tone and setting where it will actually be used.

Our services are designed to make menstrual health understandable, speakable and practical. The tone is calm, the language is local and the goal is confidence that lasts beyond one session.
Program flow
A session is not a lecture. It is a carefully held conversation.

Awareness sessions
Interactive group sessions of roughly ninety minutes, delivered at schools, in community spaces and with partner organizations. Groups usually count between fifteen and thirty participants, split by age where that helps openness.

Menstrual health education
A structured six month program for girls of school age and women of reproductive age. The curriculum moves through body knowledge, care, conversation and living with the cycle.

Product introduction
Participants see the reusable pad, learn how to use it, wash it, dry it and store it. Where possible, the workshop is paired with a starter set so access and knowledge arrive together.
How it feels
Clear enough for a classroom. Safe enough for private questions.
Each session moves from the basics of the menstrual cycle, through common myths and taboos, into practical questions about hygiene, pain, school attendance and confidence. The structure is simple, but the facilitation is careful.
Facilitators are women from the region who have been trained by Haftey and work in Tigrinya. Sessions include a printed take home summary, product demonstration and time for private questions afterwards.

Partnership model
Practical planning before any session begins.
A typical partnership starts with a short intake. Together we agree on group size, venue, timing, language of delivery and any topics that need particular care in that community. This keeps sessions relevant instead of generic.
For schools and community groups our services are free at the point of use. Larger partners and donors help fund the program, materials and the women who deliver it. NGOs, government programs and companies work with us on a transparent cost recovery basis.
